Unnamed Orkney 12 Year Old 2009 (casks DRU17/A67 #1+2) - Un-Chillfiltered Collection (Signatory)
A somewhat mysterious single malt here, independently bottled by Signatory for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. This one was distilled by an Orkney-based distillery back in 2009 and left to age in a pair of hogsheads for a dozen years, before being bottled up at 46% ABV. We say "somewhat mysterious" as yes, we don't know which Orkney distillery it came from, there aren't all that many distilleries in Orkney, so you can probably give it a pretty good guess.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lemon drops, salted caramel, shortbread, and earthy oak.
Palate
Malty and fragrant, with a subtle coastal salinity sneaking through.
Finish
Waxy orange and toasted malt.
