Description

A release of 677 bottles of Tobermory matured in sherry butt number 5993. This was distilled in February 1996 and bottled in March of 2010 by Douglas Laing.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Walnut, toffee, pecans, maple syrup, gunpowder, wood varnich. Very interesting.

Palate

Lots of sherry character, hints of barrel char, dates, spices, honey.

Finish

Good oaky finish. Hints of smoke, then nutty, almost chocolatey. Pepper.
