It's hard to look at another whisky label again once you've seen a Fox Terrier under the Northern Lights, isn't it? The 2023 edition of Scallywag's wonderfully wintery blend of Speyside single malts was aged in oloroso and Pedro Ximinéz sherry butts and then bottled at 52.5% ABV with no colour added and no chill-filtration.
Figs and dates lead with chocolate-covered nuts, cinnamon, and vanilla latte.
Sweet poached fruits, nutty malt, dulce de leche, robust oak, and delicate hints of clove.
Baking spice and sherried fruit linger.
