Distilled at the Royal Lochnagar distillery in October 1984, this was aged for 23 years in refill hogshead number 4205 before bottling by Douglas Laing in March 2008. A release of 295 bottles.
Nose: Lots of stewed fruit notes, also hints of cinnamon, chili, barley and orange zest.
Palate: Opens on big grilled orange with caramelised sugar. Hints of sweet oak, barley, acacia honey, a touch of spice.
