A 12 year old Royal Brackla, this is part of Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series. This particular release was bottled to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee. One of just 250 bottles.
Spicy - nutmeg and cloves in particular, with marzipan, crystallized peel and orange zest.
The spices continue with additional woody notes of walnuts and pecans. A chocolate butterscotch sweetness.
A long finish, still spicy with hazelnut and mocha.
A sweet and full-bodied dram.
