Douglas Laing
We absolutely loved the regular 46.8% Rock Oyster embracing the character of Jura, Islay, Arran and Orkney, which makes this limited edition punchier cask strength version a very exciting release! The tube features some fisherman out at sea, one of whom looks suspiciously like that Big Peat fellow...

Well I've tried a lot of whiskies recently almost all of them single cask and cask strength, and this one just keeps me coming back for more and more. It leaves this lingering taste reminiscent of liquorice root and aniseed, even the next day! I have not tried a drop of anything sense since opening this bottle. Testiment to the craftsmanship of this blend
Cracking whisky
An excellent maritime Scotch. A lot of complexibity with an island character at its core alongside citrus fruits, black pepper and tobacco. Truly great stuff...I'll be back for a second bottle.
I had a whisky snob friend turn up their nose because it was a blend. Whisky is about taste. And this tastes amazing. So many different layers, tastes like a special Talisker. Very nice.
Picked up a bottle last night and first glass I had was as it comes - and then I simply had to put a wee drop of water in it for the second to calm it down. It was ferocious stuff - very peppery and for me reminiscent of laddie rocks. The water reduces the spirit and pepper and you can savour the smoke in it - I suspect it will open up as its left for a bit! Will definitely leave your tongue tingling - so if you like strong, peppery smoky stuff you'll be ok here else avoid as this is likely to divide opinion!
