Port Ellen 36 Year Old 1983 – Eidolon (Hunter Laing) 70cl Whisky

An excellent rare whisky from Hunter Laing's Eidolon series, this is a 36 year old Port Ellen! This was distilled in 1983, the very same year the distillery closed its doors (though it is now being revived)! It was released at 53.5% ABV, with a limited outturn of 638 bottles. Fun fact, in ancient Greek literature, an eidolon is a spirit-image of a living or dead thing – we see what Hunter Laing did there...
