An independently bottled single malt from Port Ellen, a sorely missed (though soon returning!) distillery on the Isle of Islay. After 33 years of maturation, That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottled up this incredibly rare whisky and gave it a label featuring Jon Beach of Fiddler's Whisky Bar fame. The items he's holding are hints towards classic Port Ellen tasting notes - chamois leather and sherbet lemons.
Batch 8 is a release of 15 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Deep wells of caramel and mature oak notes, joined by whiffs of toasted rye and seaside air.
Tangy pineapple and lemon, balanced by smoked sea salt, milk chocolate, roast chestnuts and mince pie filling.
Charred oak, green apple, new leather, a hint of lemongrass.
