Port Dundas 45 Year Old 1978 - Xtra Old Particular 75th Anniversary (Douglas Laing)
Marking three quarters of a century of Douglas Laing’s whisky adventures, this single cask grain whisky from the closed Port Dundas distillery is part of the rare XOP Diamond Collection.
Drawn from a single refill hogshead and bottled at 49.9% ABV, this ghost grain delivers remarkable sweetness and character from its decades of rest.
The presentation is every bit as refined as the spirit: a diamond-shaped luxury box holds the 70cl bottle with embossed metal labels, plus a certificate signed by Fred and Cara Laing. A hand-cut crystal decanter and whisky glass crafted by Richard Brendon complete the experience.
Please note: this bottle is stored under lock and key, protected by chains and lasers, so we'll need a few extra days to crack it out of our vault and ship to you.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Soft vanilla fudge and warm wood spice on the nose, with a touch of polished brass. The palate leans into caramel, coconut husk and toasted grain, building to a sweet, lightly spiced crescendo. A ghost distillery with plenty to say.
