Particularly old single grain from Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range! This one was distilled by Port Dundas (now sadly closed) back in January 1978 and aged in a refill hogshead for 43 years. After that, it was bottled up at cask strength with an outturn of only 148 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose: Anticipate treacle, juicy cranberries, cinnamon and sweet cereal on the nose.

Palate: The palate bursts with rich cocoa, charred oak and an allspice warming kick.

Finish: The finish lingers wonderfully with more spice, a touch of butterscotch and crunchy biscuits.
