Port Dundas 25 Year Old 1996 (casks 128330 & 128331) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
Single grain Scotch from Port Dundas, distilled in September 1996 and matured for a quarter of a century in a pair of hogshead casks. Those casks came into the care of indie bottler Signatory, and were opened up in 2022, yielding a total of 500 bottles, at a hearty 57.3% ABV for the Cask Strength Collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Soft summer fruits and fresh vanilla pod, with crushed almonds and buttered scones.
Palate
A touch of floral orchard honey arrives alongside wood polish and fluffy pancakes with maple syrup.
Finish
A prickle of root ginger creeps in, mellowed by soft vanilla, flaked coconut, and zesty berries.
