Indie bottler North Star Spirits has introduced the Millennial Range - a series of whiskies exploring the whisky production regions of Scotland and their individual qualities. This is The Highland Star, an 11 year old single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled at 50% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hay, greengages, a whiff of peat swiftly enveloped by coffee-dipped pastries.
Palate
Orange peel, caramel and almond. Still slightly grassy at points. A flinty touch or two here and there.
Finish
Grist, apricot and milk chocolate.
