Orkney 17 Year Old 2000 - North Star Spirits
An indie bottling of single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Orkney, finished in a Pedro Ximenéz Sherry cask! It was aged for 17 years, from September 2000 to September 2017, before North Star Spirits got their hands on it and bottled the whisky at cask strength. 366 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Heather honey and cooking herbs, with a whiff of smoke lingering.
Palate
Develops a few notes of juicy pear and peaches in syrup, though savoury hints of thyme and smoke continue to develop.
Finish
Pink peppercorn and mixed peels.
