Joining Cask Series 21 from indie bottler North Star Spirits, a superb blend combining single malts distilled in 2014 at a host of undisclosed Campbeltown distilleries. Matured for eight years in a combo of Port and oloroso sherry octaves, this release includes a total of 434 bottles.
Heaps of soft fruit, syrupy flapjack, and vanilla cream with drizzles of syrup and sugared shortbread.
Jammy red fruits and tannic oak tangle, with dates, dried cherries, and currants supported by biscuity barley.
Nutty malt, leathery oak, and more stewed red fruits are joined by sweet baking spice.
Absolutely stunning bottle of whisky. Just needs a dab of water to release the cherry fruit notes.
