North British 50 Year Old 1962 (cask 8228) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing)

North British 50 DC Bottling Note

Absolutely staggering single cask grain whisky bottled for Douglas Laing's Director's Cut range. This was distilled in 1962 and aged for 50 years before bottling at natural cask strength. Wonderful…

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A fruity, muscular nose with oak, sweet vanilla, coffee beans and caramel lattes.

Palate: Fruity and spiced palate, based around thick vanilla custard, fudge, cocoa, chocolate oranges and peach nectar, with a development of nutmeg.

Finish: A long, warming ands spiced finish with huge buttery toffee sweetness.
