North British 26 Year Old 1989 (cask 11275) - The Sovereign (Hunter Laing)

26 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the North British distillery, drawn from a single cask which was laid down September 1989 and cracked open in February 2016. This comes to us via the superb Sovereign range from Hunter Laing. 204 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Crumbly biscuits packed with sweet vanilla and dusted with sugar. Rolos develop, and a touch of flower stem.

Palate

Fruity on the palate, with apple flesh, orange and lime. A light hint of sponge cake later on.

Finish

Quite dry and long.
