North British 23 Year Old 1995 (cask 13504) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Buttery single grain whisky from North British Distillery! It was brought into existence in November 1995, and was then placed into a single refill barrel. After 23 years had passed, Douglas Laing deemed it ready for bottling, and did so in August 2019. A limited 183 bottles were released at 51.5% ABV for the Old Particular series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Frosties with milk, alongside buttery shortbread sprinkled with brown sugar, and a touch of lemon peel.
Palate
Sweet and buttery again, with maple syrup, creamy vanilla, cookie dough and melted milk chocolate.
Finish
Vanilla-heavy porridge, a dusting of cinnamon and cooked brown sugar.
