North British 21 Year Old 1994 (cask 10996) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
An indie bottling of single grain Scotch whisky from the North British distillery, released as part of Douglas Laing's Old Particular range. This was distilled in October 1994 and left to age in a refill barrel for 21 years until November 2015, when it was bottled with an outturn of only 212 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Allspice, apple turnover, a hint of fragrant citrus blossom.
Palate
Richer on the palate than the nose suggests, with thick layers of treacle and milk chocolate to chew through.
Finish
Plum pudding, strawberry jam and brown sugar.
