    North British 18 Year Old 2003 - Old Particular The Midnight Series (Douglas Laing)

    Glorious single grain whisky from the North British distillery, this expression was released by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular The Midnight Series. Distilled in March 2003, the whisky was allowed to mature in a single refill butt for 18 long years. In June 2021, the cask was opened, releasing a total outturn of 712 bottles, produced without additional colouring, or chill-filtration.

    Nose

    Crisp granola, maple syrup, buttered popcorn, toasted oak.

    Palate

    Creamy, oily with yoghurt coated raisins, baked fruits and soft vegetal notes.

    Finish

    A gentle build of baking spice and prickly grain, butterscotch and oaken warmth.
