North British 18 Year Old 2003 (cask 15117) - Clan Denny (Douglas Laing)
Another excellent single cask bottling selected by Douglas Laing here, this time from North British Distillery for its Clan Denny range. This single grain whisky was aged in a single refill barrel for 18 years before being bottled up at 48% without any chill-filtration and with its natural colour.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Foam banana sweeties, slick toffee, white pepper, and pears.
Palate
Rich and sweet with Scotch tablet, honey, orchard fruit, hazelnut, and vanilla ice cream.
Finish
Drying and a little spicy.
