This was distilled on the 20th September 1991 and matured for 17 years in Californian sherry cask number 259479 before bottling on the 11th September 2009. A release of just 679 bottles.
Woody, grainy and grassy. Some raisins, hints of date, damp hay.
Medium bodied, iced lattes, dark fruit, hints of spice.
Longish, fruity, a touch of espresso.
i'm not much of a connoisseur of whiskey, but drink fine wine, eat fine food, smoke fine cigars, etc. This was a recommendation and i thought it absolutely stunning. Deep, complex, warm, spicy, long...will that do?
