This distillery's new riff on Kentucky bourbon has gathered plenty of plaudits, as you'll know if you've tasted its single-barrel bourbon. Made from a high-rye mashbill (65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley), a full sour mash regimen, and matured for four years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels before being bottled without chill-filtration.
Toasted oak, butterscotch, vanilla, and rye spice.
A full-bodied texture carries sweet vanilla, clove, blackcurrant, and a hint of mint.
Cinnamon and dark berries linger.
