Mortlach 8yo 2011 #13519 Bottling Note

Douglas Laing has gone and bottled and ace Mortlach, distilled over in Speyside in February 2001. It was filled into a single refill hogshead for the next eight years, until the Beast of Dufftown was bottled up for the Provenance series. A limited 380 bottles were released in August 2019, weighing in at 46% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet and spicy, with honeyed baking spice, pain au chocolat and oily nuts.

Palate: Thick golden syrup notes, with melted brown sugar and baklava.

Finish: Oily lemon peel and treacle toffee.
