Mortlach 8 Year Old 2008 (cask 11257) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
A single cask bottling of 8 year old Mortlach, distilled in February 2008 and bottled in May 2016. It was aged in a refill hogshead until Douglas Laing came along and bottled it for the Provenance range with an outturn of 434 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Golden syrup and malted barley vanilla-y notes. A handful of exotic spices.
Palate
The spice continues on the finish, joined by warming oak.
Finish
Vanilla custard and spiced rum.
