This is a 21 year old single cask Mortlach, distilled in September 1990 and aged in a refill puncheon cask before bottling in September 2011 for Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range. A release of 271 bottles.
Sherry and notes of gunpowder, calves leather, burnt sugar and orange blossom.
Rubbery and rich, juicy sultanas, chocolate malt and toffee. A hint of burnt match head and rancio.
Good length, a touch of beeswax and mandarin.
