Bourbon
A 15-year-old Mortlach bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by Signatory Vintage for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. The 2008 vintage single malt came from a small batch of four bourbon hogshead sister casks presented at the standard Un-Chillfiltered strength of 46% ABV.
Creamy with tropical fruit and apricot yogurt, with oak-driven spice and some red chilli earthiness underneath.
More spice and muscle with biltong, oak char, nutmeg, vanilla, and fresh herbs emerging.
Long and vibrant.
