Mortlach 14 Year Old 2005 (cask 13729) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Mortlach 14yo 2005 #13729 Bottling Note

Another meaty Mortlach from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range! This Speysider was distilled in 2005 and left to mature in a single refill hogshead. After 14 years passed, it was independently bottled in 2019, with a release of 326 bottles at an approachable 48.4% ABV. A fabulous balance of malt, fruit and vanilla in here.

Nose: Biscuity malt and lemon peel, with heather honey and peaches and cream.

Palate: Notes of nectarine and oaky vanilla, with white grape and a generous dose of fresh malt.
