This single malt from Mortlach joins the Old Particular collection from independent bottler Douglas Laing. It was distilled in January 2011 and then matured for a dozen years in a single refill hogshead (cask 17756) before it was bottled up at 48.8% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Foam bananas, tinned peaches, fudge, and freshly baked brown bread, with some meatiness.

Palate

Creamy nuttiness, juicy barley, tropical fruit, and woody spice.

Finish

Peppery malt with stone fruit.
