Mortlach 12yo '09 Bottling Note

Marvellous Mortlach single malt, independently bottled by Signatory for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. Rested for a dozen years between 2009 and 2022 in a trio of hogshead casks, absolutly no added colour, and none of that chill-filtration malarky went on with this one.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Charred marzipan and toasted oak with hints of burnt brown sugar leading to nutty, biscuity malt.

Palate: Buttery vanilla fudge, floral wafts of citrus blossom, and light honey with a kick of earthy clove and green walnuts building behind the scenes.

Finish: A splendid finish of earthy nuts, spicy oak, fresh ginger, and just a smidge of brine.
