Mortlach 11yo 2009 Bottling Note

A splendid single malt from the magnificent Mortlach Distillery! It was distilled in December 2009 and allowed to rest in a pair of hogsheads for 11 years, until bottling in May 2021 for part of the independent Un-Chillfiltered Collection by Signatory.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: White chocolate macadamia nuts, honeyed crumpets, and oily barley.

Palate: Increasing spice with warming ginger and peppercorns, almond butter, bitter chocolate, and milky coffee.

Finish: Nut oil and oak with spicy malt, stewed green apple, and vanilla.
