Bourbon
11 year old Mortlach single malt, bottled up by the superb Signatory for its Cask Strength Collection. This whisky was distilled in March 2008 and set aside to matured in a pair of bourbon barrels for over a decade. In March 2019, those barrels were cracked open and drained of the delicious whisky within them, producing 483 cask strength bottles.
Toasted almonds, cinnamon gum, toffee apples and orange peels.
Malty on the palate with plenty of buttery vanilla notes, followed by a kick of ginger and persimmon.
A return of the cinnamon notes, plus some BBQ grilled pineapple.
