A single malt from the Mortlach distillery, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. It was aged in a refill hogshead to 10 years, from February 2008 to April 2018, when it was bottled with an outturn of 315 bottles.
Nose: Earthy vanilla, nutmeg, burnt sugar and equally burnt oak.
Palate: Salted caramel, thyme, mint chocolate and honey.
Finish: A touch of sharp green apple lasts on the finish.
