A single malt from the Mortlach distillery, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. It was aged in a refill hogshead to 10 years, from February 2008 to April 2018, when it was bottled with an outturn of 315 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Earthy vanilla, nutmeg, burnt sugar and equally burnt oak.
Palate
Salted caramel, thyme, mint chocolate and honey.
Finish
A touch of sharp green apple lasts on the finish.
