Shenk's Homestead (2023 Release) 70cl Whisky

Every year Michter's Distillery honours the rich history of the creator of the original blend, John Shenk, who in 1753 founded the distillery and became known as Michter’s in the 20th Century. Shenk's Homestead is that tribute, a Kentucky sour mash whiskey made with a substantial amount of rye, including malted rye in the 2023 edition's mashbill. It was also matured into cask types, with a portion aged in toasted French oak barrels that were made from 24-month air-dried wood sourced from the Vosges region of France. The other parcel was matured in 18-month naturally air-dried and seasoned wood with Michter's signature toast and char profile.
