MB Roland Single Barrel Bourbon 58.2%
A brilliant single barrel bourbon from Kentucky-based MB Roland. Distillate from a mash bill of 78% white corn, 17% rye and 5% malt found its way into a new #4 char barrel, where it stayed until the folks at MB Roland thought it was just about perfect for bottling. Only 90 bottles were produced at a punchy barrel strength of 58.2% ABV (that's 116.4 proof!), so this will make a real treat for the bourbon enthusiasts out there.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Butterkist popcorn, with sticky, spiced malt loaf, and plenty of oaky char.
Palate
Creamy vanilla and spice coming through from the oak, with drizzles of caramel and sun dried raisins.
Finish
That rye spice poking through, with lingering oak and vanilla.
