Independently bottled single malt from Mannochmore in Speyside, matured in a single refill hogshead for 12 years. It slumbered from July 2007 to December 2019, when it was bottled at 48.4% ABV by Douglas Laing. 347 bottles were produced for the Old Particular series.
Nose: Apple pie with a flaky, buttery crust, plus some dried peels and crushed cinnamon.
Palate: Very slightly savoury with basil and pepper, with crunchy brown sugar and earthy vanilla pod.
Finish: Melted butter, cassia, hints of damp oak.
