Macaloney’s Caledonian (cask 66) - Invermallie Ex-Bourbon Cask
A single cask bottling from Macaloney's Distillery, made using Canadian barley distilled in Forsyth's pot stills on Vancouver Island. The Invermallie range highlights single casks, and number 66 sees the Canadian single malt mature in a bourbon cask, for plenty of sweet vanilla notes. An outturn of only 144 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oaky vanilla, set honey, some dried apricot, and peppery spices.
Palate
Honeycomb, apple compote, crumbly fudge, vanilla custard, and clove.
Finish
Warm spices linger along with gently toasted oak.
