Douglas Laing
Scotland
Tasty Loch Lomond single grain, bottled as part of the Old Particular by Douglas Laing. Distilled back in November 1995, this beauty was set aside to mature for 21 years until October 2017, when it was charged from a single refill hogshead cask (#12096) and bottled with its natural colour at 51.5% ABV.
Huge helpings of fresh green apples, milk chocolate and charred oak lathered in honey drizzle, with a pinch of peppery spice.
Buttery sultanas and freshly baked pastries softly fade around strawberry jam, candied ginger.
Vanilla-y oak and caramel-covered shortbread conclude proceedings.
Sweet, rich and perfectly priced. Need a second bottle!
A hint of paint stripper , with a tinge of industrial alcohol .......I usual take mines neat but you might want to take this baby with lansoprozole ? Waste of 21 years and money , buy 3 bottles of old pultney and enjoy .
