Inchmurrin 31 Year Old 1984 (cask 12255) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
Ooh, a very well aged Inchmurrin! This single malt from the Loch Lomond distillery (who are well-known for making a variety of styles of whisky under a selection of names) was distilled in June 1984, matured in a refill barrel and bottled in April 2016 by Hunter Laing as part of their Old Malt Cask range. Only 87 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Notes of grilled tropical fruit with a dusting of black pepper, a hint of olive oil too.
Palate
Flower petals, dark chocolate, charred oak. Still quite oily.
Finish
Long, with barley and vanilla lasting.
