Named after the traditional Glengarry bonnet worn as part of Scottish military or civilian Highland dress, the Glengarry whisky range is made at the very versatile Loch Lomond distillery. This is their entry level single malt expression.
Well balanced barley and citrus peel notes, with touches of peat smoke shining through.

Not bad for a single malt priced below 30 Eur.
I quite like Loch Lomond. I'd say the Loch Lomond Original (similarly priced) is a little better but this is decent value, which is generally the least I've found from the distillery. The Inchmurrin range is a favourite but (getting back to the point) my first Glengarry has encouraged me to try more of them. This is not spectacular but it's a solid, good value single malt. Ian
