Single Malt

This Linkwood was bottled by independent bottler Signatory in 2012 from a cask filled in 1995. If you like interesting single malts then Linkwood is a must try!
The nose is similar to a vanilla sponge cake with deeper dark fruit notes lurking beneath. The palate displays a profound butterscotch creaminess and the finish is persistently fruity.

aquired a couple of samples of this one a couple of years ago. I really only knew Linkwood as JW component, but this is an interestin dram. Not for everyone though. The nose is full of dry grass or hay, along with slight vanilla and melon. There is a fair deal of alcohol in there and some may find it a bit too crispy. A splash of water bring out the fruit over the grass and alco. It is a promising sniff add water or not. The sip starts with a tickle fron the alco and warm the mouth. It is fruity, malty and sort of fresh. It appears somewhat light but it develops Into a little more rich palate. Not overly complex but very pleasant. Finish is superlong with a developing sweetness in the end as the alco wanders off. It is a very enjoyable experience. I rate it a four cause it is a tad too simple to my pref. But still a good juice
