The Old Malt Cask series was launched in 1998 and 25 years on Hunter Laing is celebrating by releasing new whisky. That includes this Linkwood single malt, aged in a single sherry butt for 13 years, yielding a total of 762 bottles.

Nose

Butter shortbread, vanilla, and red berries.

Palate

Sweet apples, buttered toast, and gentle spice.

Finish

Long, with lingering pepper.
