Sherry
13 year old Linkwood single malt here, independently bottled by the smashing Signatory! This one was initially aged in bourbon hogshead casks, then moved over to a fresh sherry butt for 10 months before being bottled in August 2020. A release of 699 bottles.
Dense dried fruit and molasses, with a kick of cinnamon and oak.
Still packs plenty of raisin and prune notes, though some red apple comes through on the palate. Slightly buttery at points, too.
Peppery malt and fruity coffee.
