Single Malt
From Signatory's extensive Un-Chillfiltered Collection indie bottling range comes a 11 year old single malt distilled by Linkwood. This one spent a decade of rest in a pair of hogshead casks, maturing from March 2008 to December 2019 before being bottled without any chill filtration.
Sawdust, clotted cream on scones and a pinch of kitchen herbs.
Buttery and clean on the palate, with fresh white grapes and clementine. Grassy malt grows, with some peppery heat.

Linkwood has always been one of my favourites - ever since the days of the black and white striped boxes - you have to be old enough to understand this reference. This version is very pleasant. For me, creamy porridge on the nose, a smooth buttery, fruity and malty palate with a long finish with plenty of honey .... and more runny honey. I appreciate the NCF and 46% from Signatory - it always provides a fuller flavour.
