Knockdhu 31 Year Old 1991 - Old & Rare Platinum (Hunter Laing)
A majestic dram from Knockdhu, independently bottled by Hunter Laing – not something you see every day! Distilled in 1991, this one spent a peaceful 31 years resting in a single cask, which was finally opened in 2022 to release a total outturn of 351 bottles, for Hunter Laing's Old & Rare Platinum collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sugared lime, candied fruits, floral vanilla, and orchard blossom honey.
Palate
Toffee apple and poached pear lead the way with rich dark toffee and creamy oak in tow. A touch of earthy blackberry beneath.
Finish
Stewed fruits stick around with dustings of baking spice, joined by lingering floral barley and buttery oak.
