A Knockando from the 1976 season, which is how the Speyside distillery refers to each year of production. This is a subtle, fruity single malt, which bears all the hallmarks of the finest Speysides.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Caramel, salted figs, toffeed leather, and floral celery are all elements of this very complex nose. There's a small hint of sulphur too.
The delivery is surprisingly light given the rich nose and the depth of sherry-infused colour. There are still some tropical fruit notes, however soon the caramel, tobacco, take control.
A very floral finish riding over caramel undertones.
Not just an after dinner dram, this is complex enough to be enjoyed in its own right.

Was cleaning out a basement on a job found This bottle , the box was a little beat up but it's a great score. Feel blessed it fell into my hands
One of the best drams I have had in ages.full of flavour and great length. One to savour
