Behold, the first release in the Kingsbarns Family Reserve series! Featuring the same recipe as the fab Dream To Dram expression, this Lowland single malt was matured in a combo of first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and shaved, toasted and re-charred wine casks. It was given a few months in marrying casks to allow the flavour profile to intensify before being bottled at cask strength. Enjoyably fruit-forward, with oaky spices bolstered on the palate.
Zesty orange and lime, fresh mango and waves of honeyed barley.
Another helping of mango, now with apricot and peach. Cedar and cinnamon develop. Sugared almond and black pepper.
Dried pineapple, vanilla and subtle charred oak heat.

I'm a big fan of the 'standard' Dream to Dram, so thought i'd give this a go. Very impressed! Don't know about the 'palate' notes from M of M up here, but this is really lovely fruity, intense, spicy, well structured stuff. And it's very well priced at £60. Congrat's!
