Kilchoman Spring (2011 Release)
Released in Spring of 2011, this was the sixth official release from Kilchoman, created by vatting three and four year old casks of single malt (all first and refill bourbon).
This bottle was part of a private collection and will show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet with lots of fruity and tangy peat. Young with notes of charcoal, wood embers, old ropes, porridge and hints of acetone.
Palate
Sweet and robust with oily peat and tangy fruit. Notes of salt spray, wood shavings, pears and peat.
Finish
Lots of smoke, brine and tar, with hints of caramel.
