Sherry
The fourth and final release in Douglas Laing's Old Particular Elements Collection! This is a 12 year old Jura single malt, distilled in October 2007 and bottled in December 2019 after being finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry butt. Representing the Water element (previous bottlings have included a Caol Ila representing Earth, a Cameronbridge representing Air and a Craigellachie representing Fire), 268 bottles of this Island single malt were produced.
Subtly coastal with sea air and oatcakes, while hot chocolate and pecan notes give it some sweetness.
Milky coffee paired with dried fruit and candle wax. Cinnamon and ginger develop later on.
Lingering barley sugar, pecan once again and Toffee Crisp bars.

£54.95Great balance with a Highland yet slightly coastal style plus sherry cask influence coming through. A great example of Jura and excellent cask quality from D Laing.
A sweet sherried little number with some of that nice underlying jura character in there. a nice mix of spice, forest fruits and brown sugar
