This 10-year-old single malt was part of Jura's core range through the 2000s and 2010s, before it underwent a revamp in 2018. A nice find for a retro collection or a nostalgic tasting.

Damp, salted caramel nose for me, but no real depth similar on the palate but the thin nose belies a fuller mouth feel leading to a warm peppery finish. I can see why the nose is a little disconcerting for some it's, as the review suggests, pleasant enough and at 26 quid worth the money (well done MoM) but at 32 being charged in supermarkets I'd feel short changed.
This is the 1st malt I drank when I went out in Gourock, probably age 19 or 20. Can't remember, why it tried it, must have been on offer, but from this has grown my love for whisky. Although there are other whiskies I now prefer, I will usually have a bottle of this on the go. Yes, it is only 10 years, and yes there is a certain sharpness (as with most entry level malts), but it is still a lovely, well balanced dram and there are not many better for the money.
Really intense nose - like a lit christmas pudding. A confusing palate; a little woody but smooth. The initial flavours disappear quickly to a medium-length, dry finish that's slightly sweet and tingly on the tongue.

Wow this is a nice whisky. Peat, smoke, honey, grassy, then a slightly briny at the end. The price is very reasonable too. However, the nose is a bit dull and the early flavours are a tad sharp depending on where it hits your palate. The lasting finish is the best part. Drink this one sloooow and try hitting different parts of the tongue with each sip.
