This 10-year-old single malt was part of Jura's core range through the 2000s and 2010s, before it underwent a revamp in 2018. A nice find for a retro collection or a nostalgic tasting.

My first experience with Jura was the Superstition, which remains my favourite bottling from the distillery (with Prophecy a close second). I love the fact that this particular expression exhibits a complexity that is beyond its age statement. Fudge, barley cereal, oak, aniseed, a hint of sea salt caramel and cracked pepper. Definitely one of those whiskies that can be enjoyed after a good meal. Didn't get the chance to visit the distillery when I was across the bay in Islay in January, but it is definitely on my hitlist.
I received a bottle of this for my birthday and as a newbie to whisky drinking/tasting, I thought it had a really strong liquorice taste to it. Nosing it, I didn't get much from it apart from a sting in the nostrils.. I had to water it down to make it drinkable.
I have had decent and awful batches of Origin. one was oversweet and caused a Minging headache. this last bottle was grand for the money though it could really use something to elevate the palate above salt and grass and caramel.
Really nice, thick texture you can taste the honey finish, tastes quite like a fruitcake and is really easy to drink.
When I drink a single malt its usually Glenfiddich over ice tried this Jura for the first time equally as good.
